Membership

BICA’s purpose is to encourage and facilitate counsellors and other professionals in the fields of assisted conception and infertility in providing the highest standards of counselling and support to people affected by fertility issues. Membership is open to all who share these aims.

We offer all members support through our network of counsellors and emerging local groups. This is aided by study days and conferences when counsellors can meet and make contacts. 

It is now possible to become accredited under the approved BICA Accreditation Scheme. This is one of the first specialist accreditation schemes for counselling in the UK and the first accreditation scheme for infertility counsellors in the World. There are both accredited and senior accredited levels to achieve depending on skill and experience.
