Donation and Family Creation – we are putting on a second study day for counsellors and therapists who wish to develop or refresh their knowledge and skills in work with people who need sperm, egg or embryo donation in order to have a child and with the people who offer their gametes or embryos as the first one was over-subscribed. Course date Monday 5th March 2012, held in London. We will confirm the venue once numbers are known. Places will be limited.

We will explore:
• The impact of fertility loss on the individual, couple and those close to them
• Working with the loss and grief

Accreditation Application Workshop

This is to be a second workshop on preparing an application for accreditation. Our aim is to enable members to prepare an application which is satisfactory and involves no more than the necessary work to submit.

The key element will be small group workshops with accreditation assessors to look at the actual material required, and offer some real examples of good practice.

Telephone counselling

A one day workshop for counsellors who would like to develop their confidence in providing a telephone counselling service. On the day we will identify why callers ask for the counselling relationship. We will develop practice guidelines for setting up such a service.
